Don't blink!

Time has been going by so fast this last year.  I cannot believe its almost 2013!

Here's some pictures from this last summer, and into the fall.  We had such a fun year, and thanks to our puppies, we were kept busy.  They bring so much fun into our lives and make us get out and enjoy outside more often than we would have without them I think.

Here's about June to now (prepare for picture overload!) [in no particular order...]:

Jordy's birthday - August  We were lucky enough to have Mardy and Raven, as well as Shirley and Granny Dawn here too!

Random picture from just before fall...

This happened a lot this summer.  Hanging out on the hammock and playing with the dogs in the back yard.  Nova loves it!

Chilling in the field behind Debbie's house.  Playing in the leaves.

So this was actually earlier, while Mardy and Raven were here in August.  We took a day trip to Waterton and Jenn, Dusty, August, Calida, Jordy and I all decided to do the hike up to the falls by Red Rock Canyon.  It was fun, especially with a stroller and the dogs.

I love Waterton, there's so much to do.  Hopefully we get out there this winter to put our snowshoes to use.

She's just the cutest little girl!!

For the first time since we were married, we got professional photos done.  It was so much fun.

Here are some random photos from our annual camping trip/trip to Creston.  They look so cute sleeping in the truck!

The weather wasn't so nice when we were camping, and apparently our dogs don't appreciate being wet and cold all day.

Nova hates cuddling, and Brooke loves to cuddle... this is how it normally goes.

I can't believe how small she is here.  It seems like she's so big now!

This is Nova's favourite way of travelling.  Lounging on the seat we put up to give them more room on the floor.  Go figure.

My champ of a husband, so happy even though I make him drive most of the time on our trips!

Such a happy, goofy puppy!

This was a little walk around this lake up in Creston.  Very pretty - it makes me miss the mountains.

We put up the Christmas tree, and added some of Lara's ornaments (the stuffed ones) so part of her could be home (in Canada) for Christmas!

Looking back we've had a great year!  We are looking forward to spending some time out side this winter, and we look forward to our summer adventures as always.  We're hoping there's a trip to Cali this summer, but we'll have to see when we get closer.  I hope every one has a great Christmas, and the best in the New Year!  Here's for an amazing 2013!

Update?

So I was looking at our blog today and thought it has been a while since I last posted... wow am I bad at blogging! At any rate, life has been pretty quiet for us, but is about to get less quiet as on Friday we get our new puppy, Brooke.

She's a pure bred Silver Lab, and oh-so-cute!  We love her already! We're not too sure what Nova will think about her, but she doesn't really have a choice... lol.

I'll post pictures of both of them over the weekend.

Other than that, not too much news.  We are looking forward to our summer vacation this year, and the plan so far is to spend a full week (maybe more) in Creston with family.  I'm soo looking forward to it as I am long overdue for some vacation time.

More updates to come shortly.  Let Summer begin! (Someone tell the weather man.)

Best of 2011

2011 has been a great year for us! Here are some of my top picks:

January: Welcomed our niece, Calida, into the world!

January/February-ish: Jordy got a promotion/new position at work. No more working as a teller, time to put that education to good use!

March: We decided to stop renting and started looking for our first home. Found our first home and closed the sale. Waited 3 months to be able to move into said home.

June: Moved into new home! No sooner had we moved all the boxes into our house, then we brought home our puppy, Nova.

June: House-trained Nova.

August: Went for our annual August long weekend trip to Creston - first time with Nova in a tent.

August: Bought a new, bigger tent.

September: Van died. Bought a new truck.

September: Went on our first camping trip with Nova. Glad we bought a bigger tent. Note to self - need bigger air mattress.

October: Had our annual pumpkin carving night. Some turned out great!

October: Built Nova a dog house. Discovered that she could climb onto the shed from dog house. Moved dog house. Found she could jump over neighbor's fence from top of dog house. Moved dog house. Found she could climb into the pear tree and jump to the top of the shed using dog house. Moved dog house.

November: Got Nova fixed. Was super stressed about leaving her at the vet overnight. When we went to pick her up, found she probably didn't even notice she wasn't at home. Silly dog.

November: 3rd Wedding Anniversary!! Wow - 3 years already? Didn't go anywhere due to Nova's recovery. Went out for a nice dinner.

December: Had a great Christmas time with family. Enjoyed not traveling farther than Taber this year and had a blast playing a billion games of Pandemic.

December: Got snowshoes for Christmas. First Christmas with no snow in my memory and haven't used the snowshoes yet.

December: Had a great New Year's Eve. We went out for sushi, went to the movie called New Year's Eve (very funny) and by the time we got out it was 11:40 pm. Raced home to welcome in the New Year!

As for this coming year, we made a few resolutions. I'd love to paint the house, as its still the same color the previous owners had painted - yellow-green. Gross. We would also enjoy an outside patio/deck. No really big plans for this year so far. I'll keep you posted if that changes!

Happy New Year and all the best in 2012. If its anything like 2011, then we have a lot to look forward to!
