Details, details, details...

This weekend we made a quick trip to good ol' Taber, Alberta with the task of helping my mother-in-law complete her Canadian Passport application forms. What a task!!! Whew! And.... even though we completed the forms, she is now concerned that she can't find her marriage certificate to prove that her name was changed! Now, having helped her with all the paperwork and forms, I realize that I should jump on that! My passport expires next year, and I need to have changed all my official documents into Cassandra Litchfield! Anyways... why does the government have to make things so difficult?! They authorized that we got married, couldn't they just be nice and change all the ID and documents for me and send them in the mail to me? That would make life so much easier! I can't really do anything because I only have one piece of ID saying that I'm Cassandra Litchfield and for most things, you need two....

Now that I've unloaded all my frustrations about dumb government processes... I feel much better :) Other than that, my life has been swell, I got a job now, so I feel like I'm inputting, and not being lazy sitting around the house all day with nothing to do! Its great, really, it feels like a glorified baby-sitting job... that pays more! hehe. Lucky me!

Quote of the day:

LIFE."

Cheers.

Getting into a Routine...

So with the wedding done and over with, a few months passed, and settled into our home, the next thing that has been fun is getting into a routine! With Jordy going to school (and working enough to make us even more comfortable!) he sort of has a schedule going, but I don't really.

Because I've decided to take this semester off from school and work, and because I am waiting to be trained for my new job (training is this Wednesday!! :D) I have little to do and no schedule throughout my day. I find that I sit at home, waiting for my wonderful husband to get home. It's a tad bit frustrating and even though I tidy up the house, and do chores for a bit of the day, I feel super lazy that I don't have to wake up at a certain time to be somewhere! So my day is full of finding things to occupy myself!!! That may sound like a luxurious day but it gets old... FAST!

So while I wait to start working, my toughest job is trying to find things to do! :) But hopefully after Wednesday, I'll start work and by busy busy busy!

A New Chapter Begins...

Alright, so as this is my, Cassandra's, first time writing a blog since junior high, (Lets hope that Jordy might feel like adding to this blog! :D ) I'm excited to share some parts of our new life together with family and friends. I'm not going to lie, Rebecca and Jaime are my inspiration for starting this blog. So thanks! Anyways, to the point...

Since Jordy and I were married, November 8, 2008, its been fun learning more about each other everyday! While trying to adapt to married life (that I don't think is as hard as many make it out to be...) we've also been trying to make this house a home that is
ours and represents us and the things we hold dear in life.

Its hard for a young married couple to have so many ideas as to what we want our home to look like (with many ideas from our parents' homes) and it takes a while to realize that our parents didn't start out with gorgeous homes like they have now. They started just like us... with making due with the things we can afford, and finding different ways to make our house a home. We put pictures up of our wedding and family, of our saviour for all to see. Looking around now I feel like we're doing pretty good. Its not t
he big, double level house that I moved out of, but its definitely a start. I see that my cousins, Rebecca and Jaime are looking to buy their first home, and I get a little giddy thinking that in a few years we could be doing the same thing! The future holds exciting things for my husband and I, wonderful, exciting things like
a family, a beautiful home that teaches love and compassion, and fun moments that I hope we can capture on camera to reminisce about in years to come.

Such wonderful things that all start
ed on a wonderful day!
